Hope

Hi friends.  I am playing along with CASology and CAS(E) this sketch for today's card.  The cue word for CASology is Hope and when I think of the word Hope, I immediately think of Breast Cancer and the many other cancer's out there.  Breast cancer awareness is near and dear to my heart though because my sweet Mother-In-love lost her battle 3 years ago.  She fought long and hard.  I thought of her the whole time I was making this card.  I miss her!!  This one is for you-Mimi!

I loosely followed the sketch.  :)
I am also entering this in Simon Says - Anything goes.

Thank you for visiting and have a great day!

Monday Mood Board

Hi friends.  Today's card is inspired by Dawn's Monday Mood Board.  Love these.  Here is the inspiration:

I was inspired by coral and blue.  I am loving these two colors together lately.  I made the base of my card thinner so that it will still fit into a regular size envelope even though the pinking squares hang off the sides a bit.

I am entering this over at Simon Says - Anything goes.

Thank you for visiting and have a great day!

Cardstock:  Pool Party, Calypso Coral, Whisper White, Vellum cardstock
Ink:  Calypso Coral
Stamps:  Very Vintage Greetings (Wplus9), Sentiment is from Hero Arts

FMS79 & MUSE

Hi friends.  I have to admit that my mojo has been missing the past few days.  Thankfully, it has returned.  I followed a sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches for this card and was also inspired by this week's MUSEArdyth Percy-Robb.  I love Ardyth's creations, she is a very talented papercrafter.  Here is the sketch and Ardyth's card:

For the sketch I used my new Borders scoring plate to create the scallops and the dots and I was inspired by the many circles in Ardyth's card.

Thank you for visiting and have a great day!

Hi friends.  Today I was inspired to play along with Retro Sketches and wanted to combine Merry Monday challenge as well but, realized AFTER my card was finished that it didn't fit in any of the tic-tac toe spots unless, my twine can count as ribbon?  ;)  Here is the sketch and the tic tac toe board:

I went straight across the top with Animal, DSP and ribbon (twine).  :)

StampNation challenges

Hi friends.  Quick post for me today.  I made this card for last week's challenge at StampNation.  We were to make a card using anything that makes you think Spring.  Bright colors and umbrellas certainly make me think of spring.  My next card is for a sketch challenge that was posted today.

Here is the sketch:

I flipped my card to horizontal instead of vertical as shown in the sketch.

I am going to get outside while the sun is shining.  :)  Thank you for visiting and have a great day!

Day 5 Online Class: Pattern Play

Hi friends.  This is my second post for today.

Yesterday was the last day of class and I have to say I am grateful to have won a spot in this class to be able to experience an online class.  I will be taking more online classes in the future, thank you ladies for all your hard work in putting this class together.  Yesterday was all about Paper Manipulation and Kristina taught this cool technique using your pattern paper.  I CASEd her card because it was amazing.

It is hard to tell in the photo but the butterfly was stamped onto another piece of Patterned paper that was in this paper pack and I fussy cut it out.  It is a very subtle pattern but very pretty in person.

I am also entering this card in Addicted to CAS: Spring and Simon Says Stamp:  Easter/Spring.  Butterflies certainly remind me of spring and the colors in the card remind me of Easter.

Thank you for visiting and have a great day!

Cardstock:  Very Vanilla, Vellum cardstock, Lap of Luxury DSP
Ink:  Concord Crush
Stamps:  Flight of the Butterfly
Accessories:  Label framelit, paper piercing tool and mat pack

Wplus9 Mood Board

Hi friends.  Today's card was inspired by the Monday Mood Board by Dawn.  I was inspired by the colors of the cute little chick cookies, they looked yellow and pink to me.   Guess I should have used lavender instead of pink but there is pink in the eggs and green grass.  :)   I also CASEd a card by Debby Hughes from our Online card class: Pattern Play.  Here is the inspiration photo:

I used the adorable bird houses & Sentiment from Spring tags and the Banner Trio dies for my banners.  Thank you for visiting and have a great day!

Feminine Birthday & Day 4 Homework

Hi friends.   My card for today is combining a few challenges again.  :)  This week at Seize the birthday there is a great CAS sketch and the colors at 10 minute craft dash are represented in my card above.  I was also inspired by Muse, Marion Vagg.

I love the white embossing on the different colors (I did a card similar to this a while back) and that is what inspired me in Marion's card.  I decided to use my Versamarker to highlight the flowers a bit, since I still had time left.  :)  Here is Marion's card, the sketch and the 10 minute craft dash colors.

Cardstock:  Whisper White, Crumb Cake, Old Olive, Regal Rose
Ink:  Versamark, Crumb Cake
Stamps:  Happiest Birthday Wishes, Secret Garden

My second card for you today is for yesterday's Online Pattern Play class.

In yesterday's videos we learned how to alter our Patterned Paper.  I was looking through my stash and found this fun pattern.  I added some crystal effects to the red dots to make them sparkle and shine and I also took my white gel pen and added white dots to some of the Sahara sand dots to add more interest.  I CASEd a card by Kelly Rasmussen.  One more Christmas card done for me.  :)

Thank you for visiting and have a great day!

Day 2: Online Class Pattern Play

Hi friends.  This is my second post for today.

Today's homework was to create a card by stamping on Patterned Paper.  I have stamped on my patterned paper in the past but don't do it often enough.  I really love some of the results that were shown in today's videos.  I decided to go CAS with my card, that is the type of cards I love to make.  :)

Day 1: Online Class Pattern Play

Hi friends.  This is my second post for today.

I was very excited to win a spot in the new Online card class:  Pattern Play from Laura Bassen's blog.  Thank you Laura.  This is my very first online class and I am very excited to learn more about using all the patterned paper that I have collected over the years.  I tend to hoard it.  :)

Today's class had some amazing tips on picking your patterned paper, combining patterns, etc.  There was a lot to digest today.  I was inspired by Jennifer's heart cards and wanted to try out her techniques.  She showed 4 today but I chose the two that I liked best.  :)

For my first card I popped each hexagon up on dimensional adhesive but first die cut an identical shape from white cardstock.  This creates a nice white "shadow" under the patterned die cut.  Hard to capture in a photo.

For my second card I created a mat for each of my shapes by tracing the outer edge of the die onto a piece of cardstock and cut the shape by hand.  I love that Jennifer said if someone says something about your fussy cutting to kick them in the shin, take your card and run and never give them a card again.  haha

These papers were all from one pack and I am not sure how well they worked together for this but I am still learning.  :)  Thank you for visiting and have a great day!

Cardstock:  White, Breeze paper pack (MME)
Ink:  Basic Gray
Stamps:  You said it, Sister (FSS)
Accessories:  Hexagon framelits dies, Banner trio die (Wplus9), dimensionals

When I saw the Dynamic Duos colors for this week I knew I had to play along.  These colors look great together.  I also found a cool sketch at The Sweet Shop.  Here are the colors and the sketch:

Hi friends.  This is my second card for today, scroll down for my CASology & CAS(E) this Sketch "alien" card.

I love Calypso Coral but hardly ever use it.  This week at The Play Date Cafe the colors are Black, White & a "splash" of Coral.  I have been inspired by all of the cards I have seen in blog land using this new Papertrey Ink set, Watercolor Wonder.  I really love this set.

Thank you again for visiting and have a wonderful rest of your day!
