Surprise Birthday Hop for LeAnne!

Hi friends!  Instead of a Christmas card today I have a birthday card to share for LeAnne!  The sweet Lesley from Always Playing with Paper planned a Surprise Birthday hop for LeAnne.   Everyone is welcome to make a card for her and add it to the linky on the Merry Monday Challenge Blog.

Lesley shared LeAnne's favorite color is blue so I knew I had to make a monochromatic card in blue.  I actually used Tropical Teal from PTI.  The background stamp is Background basics: Venice and the sentiment is from Birthday Classics: July.

Now it is time to hop along.  You can start at the Merry Monday Challenge Blog or hop on to Debbie Henderson's blog.

Make sure you visit LeAnne's blog to wish her a Happy Birthday!

Have a very Happy Birthday LeAnne!!!!

Thank you for visiting and have a great day!

Merry Monday #118

Happy Monday friends!
Time for another Merry Monday Challenge.
This week Lori challenges us to use Buttons and ribbon on our cards.

I usually don't like adding real buttons to my Christmas cards because they add extra bulk and that means more postage.  I pulled out my Sweet Buttons Embosslit to make my button.

I hope you will join us this week to get a head start on your Christmas cards for 2014.  Make sure you check out the other DT members cards over at the Merry Monday challenge blog.

Thank you for visiting and have a great day!

StampNation Beach Vacation Blog Hop

Hi everyone!  Today we are kicking off the StampNation Summer Beach Vacation event with a Blog Hop. Each of the StampNation Dream Team members, along with some of our crafty friends, are hopping along sharing cards inspired by our first challenge, "Beach Style", as well as a peek at our favorite projects from the event!

Here's my card for the first challenge:

I used the fun Joy Ride die from My Favorite Things to create my yellow car.  Love all the little details with this die.  The back seat is filled with items for the beach, beach ball, flip flops, sunscreen, towel, book, etc...  Is this what your car looks like when you head for the beach?  The "sand" is a piece of cork cut out using the Stitched Borders 1 Dies from Pretty Pink Posh.

Prizes!!!!

Merry Monday #117

Happy Monday friends!
Time for another Merry Monday Challenge.
This week Deanne challenges us to use Sequins on our cards.

I used a stamp set (Silent Night- PTI) that I have had for a while but have only used the sentiments.
I love the flourish that comes in the set but have never inked it up until now.
 I don't know what I was waiting for?  :)
The Raspberry Sequins from Pretty Pink Posh finish it off nicely, don't you think?

I hope you will join us this week to get a head start on your Christmas cards for 2014.  Make sure you check out the other DT members cards over at the Merry Monday challenge blog.

Thank you for visiting and have a great day!

Happy Birthday!

Hi friends!  Popping in real quick this afternoon with a card for The Cutting Edge Challenge.  I love Karolyn's card below.

I really wanted to use my city scape die but decided to go in a different direction and use candles.  I added the color to each one by smooshing ink on my craft mat then spraying with water.  Used a paintbrush to apply the ink.  Very fun.

I am also adding this to Virginia View's Challenge & AAA Cards Game #10.

Thank you for visiting and have a great day!

Merry Monday #116

Happy Monday friends!
Time for another Merry Monday Challenge.
This week LeAnne challenges us to use shades of green and white on our Christmas card.

I was drawn to the wood grain in the photo so I wanted to incorporate that onto my card.  I stamped Pear Pizzaz ink onto Pear Pizzaz cardstock for a slight contrast of green.  My sentiment from Papertrey Ink is stamped using Hero Arts silver shadow ink.  I am also using the sketch over at Lesley's The Challenge #10.

The charm takes the place of the banner in the sketch.  :)

I hope you will join us this week to get a head start on your Christmas cards for 2014.  Make sure you check out the other DT members cards over at the Merry Monday challenge blog.

Thank you for visiting and have a great day!

Celebrating you, Darnell!

Hi everyone!
Today is Darnell's birthday!
Food and drinks are being served at Happy Dance, hosted by the hostess with the mostest, Bev.
There is a linky party going on over at Ardyth's blog, MASKerade.
Hop on over and join the party.

I just had to join in and celebrate Darnell at djkardkreations.  She is one of the kindest and most helpful bloggers in blog land.  Her posts ALWAYS bring a huge smile to my face as do her comments on my blog.  Wishing  you the best of birthdays,  my friend!  xo
My card was inspired by Jackie Rockwell's card over at her new challenge, The Cutting Edge.
I chose to be inspired by the colors and the star.

I am also submitting this card over at Virgina's View Challenge.
And edited to add this card to the Wonderful Words Challenge over at Moxie Fab.

On my card I used a stencil & spray mists for the stars.
The Celebrate die is from Papertrey Ink and the you stamp is from Simon Says Stamp.

Happy Birthday to you, Darnell!  Have a blessed day!

Thank you for visiting and have a great day!

With Sympathy

Hi everyone!
I can't believe today is July 1st?
The summer is already going by too quickly.

I am sharing a couple of cards for the challenges over at Just Us Girls & Virginia's View Challenge.

I couldn't resist the colors on the JUGS inspiration photo.
I was totally inspired by the chevrons on the wall.
Here is another card using the leftover die cut pieces.

These both use the new butterfly dies & Center Stage Cover Plate from Papertrey Ink.
The first card uses the small butterfly die and the second card uses the big one.

Thank you for visiting and have a great day!
