Celebrate

Hi everyone!
I'm here sharing a one layer birthday card using candles from the Happy Hanukkah stamp set by Whimsy Stamps.  I lined the individual candles on my MISTI, colored each one with a different distress marker, lightly spritzed the stamp then stamped.  I love the water color look you achieve when using distress markers.  This technique also allowed me to stamp each candle in a different color.

While I had the stamps already in place on my MISTI, I created another card.

This time stamping the candles  in black then using clear embossing powder.  I used Stitched Circle dies by Lil' Inker to cut out my circle.  Used distress inks to blend the color then inlaid the circle back in the cut out.  I layered 3 black circles underneath to add dimension.

I am adding both of these over at Seize the Birthday.  No toppings for me this time.

The first one I will pop over at "Just Us Girls"-Watercoloring

Thank you for visiting and have a great day!

Stamps:  Happy Hanukkah (Whimsy stamps)
Accessories:  Stitched Circles dies (Lil' Inker)

  7. I love both of these! What a fabulous look with the colorful Distress markers. And I love the black candles lined up against the circle. I might have thought of lining up the candles - but it wouldn't have occurred to put them across a circle - it is such a fun, creative look!
