Merry Monday #194

Hi everyone!
Time for another Merry Monday Challenge.
This week Lori challenges us to create a Christmas card with a tropical theme.

When I think of tropical, I think flip flops.  I saw these Santa Flip Flops online and knew I wanted to make some to use on my card.   The dies I used are from Lil' Inker Designs.  The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink.

Make sure you check out the other DT members cards over at the Merry Monday challenge blog.

Thank you for visiting and have a great day!

Stamps:  Warmest Wishes (PTI)
Ink:  Black
Paper:  Pure Poppy & Black (PTI), Neenah, Champagne Glimmer paper (SU)
Accessories:  Flip Flop dies, Stitched scallop border (Lil' Inker)

Masculine & Feminine Birthday

Happy Friday everyone!
I created today's cards back in December when I first received the Stamp of Approval Young at Heart Collection and am finally sharing them here with you.  I created a masculine and feminine version.

Here is the masculine card...

and the feminine card...

As you can see, I changed up the colors and the stamps from the Ring in the Celebration stamp set to create two different cards using the same stamp set and die.  Keeping the scallops for the feminine version and the square for the masculine one.

I really do love this collection.  So many possibilities.  I LOVE seeing all the different creations using this collection popping up all over blog land.

I am adding these over at Seize the Birthday: Anything goes.

Thank you for visiting and have a great day!

Stamps:  Ring in the Celebration, Young at Heart (SOA Young at Heart Collection)
Ink:  Pacific Point (SU), Pure Poppy (PTI)

BUT FIRST, coffee.

Happy Sunday everyone!
Today's card was inspired by the Essentials by Ellen February Pin-sights Challenge.

I love the ombre colors in picture #9.  I used my Get in Line Stamp set by Clearly Whimsy to stamp the ombre stripes and the brand new Oh Frappe set by Julie.  LOVE it!!!  I am not a coffee drinker, tea for me, but I have many friends/family members that do drink coffee.  :)

Thank you for visiting and have a great day!

Plaid Birthday Cake!

Hi everyone!
I posted this month's Trends Article, featuring PLAID, over on StampNation this morning.  I created my own plaid paper using the Get in Line stamp set by Clearly Whimsy stamps and with the help of my MISTI.  I thought this would make a great masculine card for some of my family members that live in Northern NH.

Here's a peek at the cards I shared on StampNation.

Happy Birthday Shakers!

Hi everyone!

I am sharing a couple cards I made using the SOA Young at Heart Collection.  I was inspired by this card by Maureen.  I love how she stamped the candles inside some of the open spaces after stenciling.   I filled the inside with seed beads and I love how freely they move around.

Here is another card using the left over piece.

I am popping both of these over at Simon Says: Shake It Up!
& Seize the Birthday: No toppings.

A new sketch challenge was also posted on StampNation yesterday.

Here's a peek at the DT samples.

Whimsy Challenge-Anything Goes

Hi everyone!
I am popping in with my card for this month's Whimsy Challenge.
The theme is - Anything Goes.

For my card I used the fun stamps from the Just a Note stamp set.  I added a bit of shading to the paper with my Copics and also colored the sentiment with Copics.  Added some twine to finish off my card.

Anyone can enter this challenge and you don't even have to use Whimsy products, although it would be great if you did.  There is also a prize offered.

I am going to add this over at Addicted to Stamps and More: Anything Goes.

Thank you for visiting and have a great day!

Stamps:  Just a Note (Clearly Whimsy)
Ink: Memento Black
Paper:  White, Soft Stone
Accessories:  Twine, Copics

Make a wish

Hi everyone!
My card today was inspired by the colourQ challenge.

I used dies/stamps from the SOA Young at Heart Collection to create my CAS card.  The present was colored using distress inks and the background panel was created using the Silly Stitched Die set by Lil' Inker.  LOVE the fun effect the die can create on a background.

Here are a few more I created.

I am going to add the first card over at Seize the Birthday: Anything Goes.

Thank you for visiting and have a great day!
