CAS(E) this Sketch! #236

Hi friends!  I have a couple cards to share with you today inspired by the sketch over at CAS(E) this Sketch!

My color combinations and technique used were inspired by Kimberly Rendino from CAS-ual Fridays.  She shared some fun cards over on StampNation for the Cards with Sass Masterclass.  I am totally loving these classes.

For this card I used all Catherine Pooler inks - Lime Rickey, Aquatini, & Something Borrowed along with the Beautiful You stamp set and matching dies.

This card also uses Catherine Pooler inks and stamps - Party Dress, Tiki Torch & Pixie Dust.  I couldn't really catch the sparkle on this flower in the photo, but I covered it with the Spectrum Noir sparkle pen.

Here is the sketch I followed:

Sassy Rainbows

Hi everyone!  Our Masterclasses are in full swing over on StampNation!  This week we started the class - Cards with Sass by CAS-ual Fridays.  Michelle Lupton shared some amazing rainbow cards and I was inspired to make some of my own.

I started my cards by water coloring with Catherine Pooler's inks!  These inks are perfect for water coloring.  Have you tried it yet?  After my water colored panel was dry I stamped and embossed with the Tin Roof stamp by CAS-ual Fridays.  I added the panel to my card base and then added two more panels with dimensional adhesive to the sides.  The sentiment from Mon Ami was stamped and white heat embossed onto a piece of black card stock.

Here is another card using the similar supplies.

For this card I stamped using Sheer Shimmer Spritz.  Here is a close-up of the sparkle!

Birthday cards

Hi everyone!  I have a couple birthday cards to share with you today.  Both use the GeoTrio stencil from the Stamp of Approval Counting Blessings collection.  Even though this collection has sold out, the good news is the items from the collection will be available for individual sale later on in Catherine's store.

I absolutely LOVE the dots on this stencil, how they go from big to small or from small to big.  :)  I have been following everyone's rainbow creations from the Online card class, and have been inspired even though I am not taking the class.  I love black and white with a pop of rainbow!  The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink.

This card uses the chevron part of the stencil.  I placed the stencil one way, sponged with Midnight ink and then turned the stencil around to create this fun pattern.  I used the same Papertrey Ink sentiment, but added the pop of color on the "H", "B", & the "!".

I am adding both of these over at Seize the Birthday: Anything goes.

Thank you for visiting and have a great day!

Freshly Made Sketches

Happy Saturday everyone!  I have a couple cards to share with you all today inspired by the sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches.

I started this card by masking off the shape represented in the sketch below using masking tape.  I then placed the Marching Leaves stencil over and sponged using Midnight ink.  I stamped and die cut the bloom using Bristol paper so I could easily use my Zig Clean color brush markers to watercolor the flower.  I added some versamark from my Versamark pen to the center of the flower and sprinkled some Wanderlust embossing powder on it and heat set to add a bit of sparkle to the center.  I then stamped the sentiment and mounted onto a card base.

Here is the sketch.

While I had my supplies out I created another similar card, changing out the bloom color.

For this flower, I used my Zig Clean Color markers again.  This time just scribbled with a yellow and pink marker, spritzed with water to let the colors blend.  LOVE how it turned out!

I will add one of these over at Seize the Birthday.

Thank you for visiting and have a great day!

Happy Fall

Hi everyone!  I am back sharing a couple more cards with you using the Stamp of Approval Counting Blessings Collection.  I know a lot of you will be getting your collections soon so I wanted to share some more inspiration with you all.

My cards are similar to these cards HERE, but I decided to do a full bloom instead of just a half bloom.  I used Catherine's Spring Fling collection of inks on this card along with Black Jack.  I used my MISTI to create even spacing of the leaves.  I die cut a circle and stamped the sentiment and attached to my card with foam tape.  Don't you just love those little acorns?!

Here is another one using my favorite rainbow colors!

After stamping the full bloom, I fussy cut it and attached it to a black card base.  LOVE how it pops on the black.

I am adding the top card over at TIME OUT Challenges:  Autumn with the optional twist of Speed Stamping.

Thank you for visiting and have a great day!

SOA Counting Blessings Release Day!!

Hi everyone!  It's Release Day for the SOA Counting Blessings Collection!  I sure hope you were on the Wait List because it looks like it is going to sell out again before the public release!!!  WOW!!!

I have more cards to share with you today using the goodies from the release.

All my cards feature the GeoTrio Stencil and the Bloomin' Bouquet stamp set.  The coordinating Bloomin' Bouquet dies are an add on and are available in the store.

The GeoTrio Stencil is very cool, there are three geometric designs you can use.  The first one is this amazing chevron.  I sponged over the stencil onto my card base using Fiesta Blue ink.  LOVE the result.  I then stamped & die cut the flower image using Tiara ink and the leaves & sentiment using Black Jack ink.  I popped the flower up using dimensional adhesive and added some sparkly clear sequins to finish off my card.

The next design on the stencil is gradient polka dots. They go from big to small.  I used Glass Bead Glitter Gel through the polka dots.  Stamped and die cut the flower and leaves and then added the sentiment from the Good Things stamp set using Icing on the Cake ink.

The last design on the stencil is the fun triangles.  Love the many, many uses for this ONE stencil. This time I used Whipped Spackle through the stencil.  Stamped and die cut the flowers and leaves and stamped the sentiment from Bloomin' Bouquet stamp set.

I hope you have enjoyed seeing my cards using this amazing collection.  I look forward to seeing the many creations popping up all over Blog land.  That is my favorite part.

Thank you for visiting and have a great day!

SOA Counting Blessings Blog Hop Day 2 & Giveaway

Hi everyone!  Welcome to Day 2 of the Counting Blessings Collection Blog Hop!  You should have arrived here from Laurel's blog.  The complete list is below if you get lost along the way.

The collection goes up for sale on Wednesday, August 16th at 9am to those on the Wait List and then ordering will be open to the public if the collection hasn't sold out already.  StampNation members that are on the Wait List will be notified first (a little perk of being a member!) and then the rest of the Wait List will be contacted!

**The box is only available while supplies last.**
Make sure that you are on the Wait List to be notified when it is available.

The box contains products that can be used together to create many different cards.  They can also be used along with products you already have in your stash!  Awesome!!  I have had a blast creating cards using this collection.

My first card features Thankful Die, Leaf Motifs, & Autumn Blessings stamp sets.

I used one of the leaf patterns to create some half blooms on the top and bottom of my card.  I die cut the thankful die from the white panel and glued it onto a piece of black card stock.  I stamped the sentiment around the thankful die cut and added some sparkly clear sequins to finish off my card.

My second card features Leaf Motifs & Good Things stamp sets.

I again used one of the leaf patterns on this card to create half blooms on the top and bottom of my card.  I then stamped the sentiment from Good Things in the center and the curly brackets on the top and bottom of the sentiment.  I added some black and white twine to finish off my one layer card.

It's time now to start hopping along, BUT before you go, make sure you leave comments on each stop along the way for your chance to win!  Your next stop on the hop is Ardyth!

One winner will be chosen at random from EACH day's comments and announced on August 17th on Catherine's blog.  The winners will win their box and if you have already purchased it, you will be issued a Gift Certificate worth $100 towards a future purchase.

Muse: Christmas Visions 83 - Take 4

Hi everyone!
I am back today with my final card for Muse: Christmas Visions.  Cornelia was very inspiring with her 4 cards, I knew exactly what I was going to create for them all.  Thank you for the amazing inspiration Cornela!  You can view my first card HERE, second HERE, and third HERE.

I was inspired by Cornelia's:
  • Penguins
  • Circle
  • Colors
  • Black & White stripes

Aren't these penguins adorable?!  I haven't used them a ton so this was the perfect opportunity to bring them out to play.  The circle was created by stamping & heat embossing the Hand Drawn Snowflakes Bold Prints onto white card stock.  Then blending inks onto the panel.

Here is a collage of all 4 of my cards.  They are in the same spots as Cornelia's so you can tell which card I was inspired by.

Muse: Christmas Visions 83 - Take 3

Hi everyone!
I'm back today sharing my third card for Muse: Christmas Visions.  Cornelia shared 4 cards with us to be inspired by.  You can create one card or 4.  You can view my other cards HERE and HERE.

I was definitely inspired by Cornelia's wreath card, but went in a bit of a different direction from her fun card.

I focused on Cornelia's:
  • Wreath
  • colors
  • image inside wreath
I am SO in love with this wreath from Catherine's Lovely Notes Stamp of Approval collection.  It looks amazing stamped once, but turn the stamp a bit and stamp again and you have an even fuller wreath!  I thought the berries in this set were a little too big for my card design so I went through my stash and found the perfect berries in the Merry & Bright stamp set from the SOA Candy Cane Lane collection!

The birds, star and sentiment are from the Christmas Faith stamp set by Papertrey Ink.  This is one of the cards I can easily mass produce for my stash!

I am also adding this over at Merry Monday: Christmas in July!

Thank you for visiting and have a great day!
