YOU ARE LOVED

Hi everyone!  I'm back today with some more cards using the All That Jazz release by Catherine Pooler.  If you missed the blog hops you can START HERE on Day 1.  Leave comments on each blog post for your chance to win.

I absolutely LOVE the flower sprays in the Grateful Heart Stamp Set.  I think they are absolutely stunning colored using any medium you are comfortable with, but I also this they are equally stunning just stamped (not colored) as you can see on my card today.

I started my card by doing some masking and sponging using the amazing Square Dance Stencil.  I love that there are so many ways you can use this stencil other than filling a whole card front.

I then stamped the largest flower spray & sentiment over the sponged area on my card stock.  I masked off the bottom of the sentiment so it would fit my design.  I added some black strips of card stock to the top and bottom of my card piece and attached it all to a white card base.  Black and white twine finishes off my card.

Thank you for visiting and have a great day!

ALL THAT JAZZ BLOG HOP & GIVEAWAY - DAY 3

Hi everyone!  Welcome to the All That Jazz Release Day Blog Hop!  You should have arrived here from Laurel's blog.   If you started on my blog, the complete hop list is below.

The All That Jazz release contains the All That Jazz ink pad that was originally free in the Naturally Inspired Stamp of Approval collection.  The ink pad and refill will be available for individual sale or as part of the ink pad bundle in the store.  Along with the ink there are new stamps, dies, stencils and card stock!

The previously released products from the Counting Blessings Stamp of Approval will also become available for individual purchase.

My first card features the Grateful Heart stamp set and coordinating dies along with the amazing Black Tie Gala patterned paper.  LOVE this paper!  I need lots more of it in my stash!

I used Zig Clean Color Brush Markers to color my floral swag.  Using Bristol Smooth Watercolor card stock makes blending so easy with these markers.  I attached a piece of the patterned paper onto my card base and trimmed another piece of white card stock at an angle.  I glued that piece onto my card base and then added the colored floral swag.

I stamped the sentiment from the Leaf Motifs stamp set and finished off my card with some black and white twine and some sequins.

My next card features the Leaf Motifs stamp set and the Awesome word die along with the new Sand Dunes card stock.

I stamped one of the leaf images onto the Sand Dunes card stock using All That Jazz and Orange Twist inks.  I love how Catherine's inks stamp on the Sand Dunes card stock.

I then die cut the Awesome die from white card stock three times.  I glued them together to add dimension and attached it to my card.  Stamped the You Are sentiment onto a strip of white card stock in All That Jazz ink.  To add a bit of interest to the stamped images, I took my white gel pen to add little white dots to the solid circles in the leaf stamp.  Love how it give a totally different look.

Comment to Win!!!

Make sure you leave comments on all the blogs in the hop today.  Catherine is randomly choosing a winner from FIVE different blogs to win TWO free ink pads from the shop along with FREE shipping on your order!  Winners will be announced on Friday, March 23rd.

Time to hop along to the next stop on the hop which is the amazing Susan Powell!  The complete blog hop list is below.
Thank you for visiting and have a great day!

Thanks

Hi everyone!  This week's challenge over at StampNation was to CASE our SN Sistah Michelle Allison.  The card that Michelle shared had a diagonal row of rainbow stripes and a fun sentiment stamped in black on white card stock.  If you follow me and know me well, you know I love a rainbow with black and white.  I just had to play along.

Here is my CASE!!!

Instead of diagonal stripes, I did mine horizontal by masking and sponging ink.  Notice I went darker to lighter from left to right?  I used rainbow colors and a bold, black sentiment.

I stamped and white heat embossed the background onto a piece of card stock first, masked a rectangle in the center and then masked the stripes inside the rectangle.  I die cut one of the Perfect Vine dies from vellum and attached it to my card using a tiny staple.  The thanks die was cut with black card stock and attached to the card.

Thank you for visiting and have a great day!

Essentials by Ellen March Pin-Sights Challenge!

Hi everyone!  I'm so excited to be invited over to the Ellen Hutson Blog today, to play along with the monthly Essentials by Ellen Pin-Sights Challenge.  Every third Thursday of the month a new inspirational challenge is posted with a chance for you to win a $50 gift certificate to the Ellen Hutson store.

Here is the gorgeous inspiration photo collage!

The rules are pretty simple when making your card:

1. Incorporate whatever inspired you about these pinned photos and colors.
2.  Be sure to use some Essentials by Ellen products in your creation.
3.  Head on over to the Ellen Hutson Pin-sights challenge and link your card up to the challenge gallery.  You have until April 17th to enter to win!

These colors are my all time favorite colors to use, love me a rainbow!!!  I used the Rustic Botanicals stamp set and matching dies on my card with a sentiment from the Lovely stamp set.

I started my card by stamping the bloom using Midnight ink onto a piece of card stock.  Using my MISTI to line them up perfectly.  I then stamped and white heat embossed the same bloom onto some Watercolor card stock.  To color them in rainbow colors I used Zig Clean Color Brush Markers.    I cut them out using the coordinating dies and attached them to the stamped panel.  The center one is popped up for some dimension.

The sentiment was white heat embossed onto a piece of black card stock and attached to the center of the flower.  Some clear Droplets and some black and white twine finish off my card.

I sure hope you have a chance to play along with this fun challenge.  See you in the gallery!

Zen Feather Happy Birthday

Hi everyone!  I am sharing another birthday card with you all today using the Zen Feather stamp set and the emboss resist technique-one of my favorite techniques!

I started my card by stamping and white heat embossing the feather.  I then sponged Shea Butter and Polished inks over the stamped and embossed image.  After sponging, I wiped the image with a damp cloth to remove any ink from the embossing powder.  I then die cut the feather using the coordinating die.

I then stamped the fun triangle row onto a piece of card stock using my MISTI to get it lined up perfectly.  I took the open triangle and stamped over the some of the solid triangles to create some interest.  I used my circle dies to cut a circle from another piece of card stock, I then glued this over the stamped triangle.  I stamped and white heat embossed the sentiment onto a strip of black card stock.  I then assembled my card, popping up the feather with foam tape.

I will add this over at Seize the Birthday: Anything goes.

Thank you for visiting and have a great day!
